Dr. Philip Fastenau, PhD is Professor of Neurology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Former Director of Clinical Neuropsychology at University Hospitals Neurological Institute. He has served in many roles as a neuropsychologist, including direct clinical care, research, teaching, administration, consulting, and professional service within professional organizations and federal agencies. His research in clinical neuropsychology has been funded by various federal agencies, including National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institute of Nursing Research, National Institute of Mental Health, Center for Disease Control, and Rehabilitation Services Administration. He has published over 70 journal articles and chapters and has presented over 200 peer-reviewed papers and invited addresses. Dr. Fastenau has received several national awards including the American Psychological Association Dissertation Research Award, Epilepsy Foundation Junior Investigator Research Award, and the NIH/NINDS Junior Investigator Travel Award and he has been elected Fellow in the National Academy of Neuropsychology, American Psychological Association, American Epilepsy Society, and Sports Neuropsychology Society.
