Dr. Paul A. Arbisi recently retired after nearly 33 years as a staff clinical psychologist at the Minneapolis VA Health Care Center. He is currently a Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Minnesota and maintains a medico-legal forensic practice. Dr. Arbisi has published extensively on the use of the MMPI-2/MMPI-2 RF/MMPI-3 in psychiatric and medical settings as well as in the assessment of trauma related conditions including PTSD. Dr. Arbisi was involved in the development of several scales found on the MMPI-2/MMPI-2-RF, and MMPI-3 and has provided training on the use of the MMPI-2/ MMPI-2 RF/MMPI-3 to state and national organizations as well as to the Department of Defense. He is currently a co-investigator in funded research studies designed to identify risk and resilience factors in National Guard soldiers who were deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan and a study of the validity of the MMPI-3 in veteran populations. Dr. Arbisi is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association. He currently serves as a consulting editor for Psychological Assessment and Journal of Personality Assessment and is the Treasurer of the Board of the Society of Clinical Psychology (APA Division 12). He also recently completed a six-year term as Treasurer of the Society for Personality Assessment.
