Dr. Farzin Irani is involved in clinical practice and training in the greater Philadelphia area. She is a non-native English speaker with a multi-lingual, transnational, and bicultural world view. She completed her Ph.D. at Drexel University, clinical internship at Brown University, post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, and board certification through the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology. She actively teaches graduate and post-doctoral trainees, and has published ~50 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and encyclopedia entries. She recently edited a clinical handbook that assembled case studies, adapted/translated tests, and normative data from across the world to increase understanding of cultural diversity in neuropsychological assessment. She serves in leadership positions within several local and national organizations, including as Council Representative for APA’s Society for Clinical Neuropsychology, oral examiner for the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, Chair of American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology’s Author Accelerator Program, member of AACN’s Publications Committee, Advisory Committee member of the Asian Neuropsychological Association, and Chair of the Equity Forum for the Philadelphia Neuropsychology Society.
